A native of Washington, DC and graduate from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, Mikumari played the lead role of God/MC in the musical "Revelations," in London, and was one of the first emcees to do a Hip Hop concert at Shakespeare's Globe. He was a member of the 2013 Nuyorican Poets Cafe poetry slam team, and has facilitated art residencies and workshops teaching literary arts, acting, and ballroom dance. Mikumari won EvoluCulture’s 2nd-ever Let Artists Be Poetry Slam, and performed for EvoluCulture in “Speak Poet Speak Vol.1,” (Lincoln Park Music Festival).
